Description

The social worker and psychologist clinic collaborates with the departments and clinics at Queen Silvia’s Children’s Hospital.

As a psychologist at the hospital, you will meet children and young people who have been affected by illness and injury, along with their families. The social worker and psychologist clinic is characterized by high competence and commitment, and offers excellent opportunities for professional development and deepening, as well as a good working environment. We initiate and participate in research and development projects and regularly welcome candidates and PTP psychologists.

Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include assessment and treatment of children and adolescents, crisis conversations, and parental support interventions. Treatment work occurs both at the individual and family level, primarily focusing on the psychological consequences of illness, injury, and prolonged hospital stays. The work also includes providing consultation, training, and supervision to other professionals.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. Experience working with children, adolescents, and their families is advantageous. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability, as the work demands high levels of independence, flexibility, and the ability to handle difficult conversations and crisis situations. You also need to be skilled in collaborating with other professional groups.
